This mimeographed advertisement — typed and hand-drawn on a waxy stencil, then cranked out on a hand-operated rotary machine — was tucked into copies of the Millennial Star late in 1943. It’s a small thing, hardly meant to survive for almost 70 years, yet here it is when other things, intended to last, have perished.
