LDSTech has teamed up with RootsTech to promote the “RootsTech Innovator Challenge” for 2015. This contest replaces the developer challenge of years past with new emphasis on creating apps that solve a problem identified in the family history industry, or by another business that uses family history data and services.

The challenge officially launched in November 2014. If you want to participate, there is still time to submit an entry before the deadline on January 15, 2015.

Generous cash prizes will be awarded by a renowned panel of judges for the best apps...

...and tools that leverage family history data. The top four contest finalists will be invited to demo onstage, in front of more than 2,500 attendees, at the RootsTech Conference, which begins February 11, 2015 in the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Contest rules, ideas, and eligibility information are available at http://rootstech.challengepost.com/. When you register, you will receive important challenge updates and learn more about how to prepare and submit your entry.

Rootstech is an annual event where people of all ages from around the globe come to learn, discover, share, and celebrate family connections across generations through technology.
