27 And there were no more wars in the days of Shule; and he remembered the great things that the Lord had done for his fathers in bringing them across the great deep into the promised land; wherefore he did execute judgment in righteousness all his days.

Just as the Nephites in the Book of Mormon frequently remembered their history of deliverance, so to did the Jaradites remember their sacred voyage to the promised land. And that hallowed memory helped them to remember God and his majesty and power. Jaredite prophets likely taught about those events to emphasize dependence on God and the need to faithfully follow him.

Just as with the jaradites, we can use memory of our deliverance by the Lord in order to motivate us to do better. If we remember our conversion, then we will be able to do incredible things even miracles
