Come, Follow Me—for Melchizedek Priesthood and Relief Society begins in January. The most noticeable change is that elders, high priests, and Relief Society sisters will no longer have traditional lessons from a lesson manual and they will take more individual and collective responsibility for what happens in these meetings.

Below are some great resources to prepare for these new meetings beginning in January:

Read the article “General Leaders Answer Questions about New Curriculum for Relief Society, Melchizedek Priesthood.”

Read the Come, Follow Me—For Melchizedek Priesthood and Relief Society resources for January to June (published as an 11-page section of the November issue of the Ensign and Liahona magazines, also online at ComeFollowMe.lds.org, and in the Gospel Library app).

Read the explanation of each week of the new format:

  • First-Sunday Council Meetings: Counseling together about local responsibilities, opportunities, and challenges and making plans to act
  • Second- and Third-Sunday Meetings: Studying recent general conference messages chosen by presidency or group leaders or, on occasion, by the bishop or stake president.
  • Fourth-Sunday Meetings: Discussing a special topic chosen by the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. For January to June, the monthly discussions are about the Sabbath Day.
  • Fifth Sunday meetings: Addressing topics chosen by the bishopric.
