Over 65,000 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints joined with other community volunteers on Saturday, 30 April 2011 for the annual Mormon Helping Hands Day in California and Hawaii. In California, volunteers helped with 319 projects, saving the financially struggling state an estimated $4.5 million.
