For those of you who enjoy uplifting music, or who are familiar with Shawna Edwards’ music, I’m excited to share that Shawna is sharing free music this week. (Apologies to blog readers that this post is coming partway through the week. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, too!)

I’ve known Shawna for several years, and as she describes in this post, she’s not a huge fan of social media — especially because she’s never wanted her music to be about her.

So I’m happy that she’s chosen to use social media to share her music because the purpose of her music is to focus on Christ.

Shawna writes:

[R]ecently, I’ve had a few experiences that have helped change my mind. One of them was reading this scripture:

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.” (Romans 1:16)

So here I am – five years after that first video went out – and I’ve finally reached the obvious conclusion: It’s not about me. It’s about Him. And I’m just trying to do my part to be an emissary of the Lord, Jesus Christ, who has given me every good thing I have.

Today, the free song download is Do You Have Room? It’s one of my favorite Christmas songs, and has been enjoyed, shared, and sung by people all over the world.

If you follow Shawna (either on Facebook or on Instagram @ShawnaEdwardsMusic) and tag three people, you can download it.

Here are the songs for the rest of the week.

Thursday: The Star Still Shines
Friday: I’d Sing You a Song
Saturday: Because (new song)
Sunday: The Miracle
