I am very pleased and honored to announce that my story “That Leviathan, Whom Thou Hast Made” has been nominated for the 2010 Nebula Award for Best Novelette. (For those who are unfamiliar with the Nebula Awards, they are like the Oscars of science fiction and fantasy writing.)

Adding to my joy, I have several friends who also have stories on the Nebula ballot: Vylar Kaftan and Felicity Shoulders for Short Story; Aliette de Bodard, Christopher Kastensmidt, and Caroline M. Yoachim for Novelette; Paolo Bacigalupi, J. Kathleen Cheney, and Rachel Swirsky for Novella; and Mary Robinette Kowal for Novel.  I hope to see all of them at the Nebula Awards in Washington, DC, in May.

You can see the full list of nominees here.
