President Monson’s very brief sermon on the priesthood was a timely reminder that as holders of the priesthood we are representatives of Christ in all that we say or do:

“Wherever you go, your priesthood goes with you. Are you standing in holy places? Before you put yourself and your priesthood in jeopardy by venturing into places or participating in activities which are not worthy of you or of that priesthood, pause to consider the consequences. Remember who you are and what God expects you to become. You are a child of promise. You are a man of might. You are a son of God.”

I suspect that our lives would become so much more sanctified and pure if we were able to remember this truth all the time. When we are tempted to lose our temper or criticize, I think we would be deterred if we remembered that we were standing in the place of Christ. As President Monson notes, this is a big responsibility but also a source of great blessings and promise.
