.. Joseph Dennis Houlihan (1878-1910) emigrated from Ireland to Michigan, and then to Butte, Montana. He died while working at Park City, Utah, and was taken back to Butte for burial. During his lifetime he anglicized his surname to one adopted by many Irish Houlihans. He has a prominent Mormon grandson. He left a one-month-old son, born in Park City.
