Effective July 5, 2023, Family Services will no longer bill for their services to help members who experience social and emotional challenges, including counseling and treatment groups.

Members will still need a bishop’s referral to meet with Family Services, and Family Services will consult with leaders to determine the most appropriate source of help for each member, which in some cases may be a professional resource in the community.

If needed, bishops may continue to authorized the use of fast offerings to help members cover these fees.

These changes will enable more members to receive needed professional help while decreasing the financial and administrative burden for both members and wards.
