A carol by Evan Stephens-the-Indefatigable. This one appeared in the Juvenile Instructor of December 1914.
“Glory be to God,” the angels sang,
Long since o’er Judah’s plain,
Wide o’er the world the message rang,
And echoed the refrain,
And echoed the refrain.
“Glory be to God.” A Christ is born,
Behold the rising star,
Millions rejoice this Christmas morn,
And waft the tidings far,
And waft the tidings far.
“Peace on the earth” the angels sang,
“Peace and good will to men.”
So let it be forevermore,
Peace evermore. Amen.
