David Littlefield has made available the newest version of his amazing book, Mormon Mysticism. You can see it for free on his website, www.mormonmysticism.com in .html or .pdf format.
I came across David’s website a couple of years back and I was captivated by his deep thoughts and insightful commentaries on topics that few dare to venture into. He has a great grasp of the esoteric/mystical elements of Judaism and Christianity and brings those ideas down to a level where we can all appreciate them. David’s website was one of those that helped inspire me to start my own blog.
Mormon Mysticism, the book, covers a vast array of topics from Ascension Theology, Gnosticism, and the Tree of Life to the practical aspects of being a mystic, including fasting, prayer, covenants and ordinances. He delves into the complex world of mystical Jewish thought, covering the teachings of Cabala, Sepher Yetzirah (The Book of Creation), the Zohar and other sources. Vital doctrines such as the Creation, Atonement and Resurrection are also explored.
If any of these are topics that you are interested in or want to learn more about, I recommend taking a look at David Littlefield’s great piece of research.
