The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced that it has printed 150 million copies of The Book of Mormon since its first printing in March 1830. See articles in Church News and Events and in the Newsroom.

Pretty impressive: 150 million copies in 181 years. In 2003, Book magazine included the Book of Mormon as one of its “20 Books That Changed America.”

The Book of Mormon is now available in 82 languages with selections translated and published in another 25 languages.

Anyone who would like to read it can get a free copy of the Book of Mormon, or you can read it or listen to it online at scriptures.lds.org. That site also has personalized study tools that let you take notes, highlight/underline verses, tag verses, and save them to a folder. There are also mobile apps for accessing scriptures on the go and tools for memorizing scriptures.

Printing of The Book of Mormon

Children can read and watch scripture stories for children and listen to a weekly radio program with children sharing their insights and favorite experiences from the scriptures.

Seems like the Church is pretty serious about providing access to the scriptures.
