A translation of the Book of Mormon has now been published in the Lao (sometimes called Laotian) language.

This will be a valuable resource for over 4,500 Church members who speak the language in Laos, Thailand, and in smaller groups in the United States and Canada.

Previously, Lao-speaking members used the book Selections of the Book of Mormon in Lao, which was first published in September 1982.

The new language translation is available in softcover through local Church distribution centers and online at store.lds.org (item 35607331) and scriptures.lds.org. The book will soon be available on the Gospel Library and Book of Mormon mobile apps.
