A free Book of Mormon mobile app is a new, easy way to share a copy of the Book of Mormon with a friend. What a great missionary tool!
This is not the full-featured version of the scriptures available in the LDS Gospel Library app. It is a simple digital version of the Book of Mormon without footnotes or cross-references. That makes it easier for people not familiar with the Book of Mormon to read it or listen to audio recordings of it.
The app includes the following:
- Text in 32 languages.
- Inline streaming of audio recordings in 5 languages (English, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish)
- Versions for phones and tablets using Android, Apple iOS, Windows Phone, Nokia Symbian, Nokia Series 40, and Java Phones (J2ME).
- Reference guide to key scriptures about Jesus Christ, doctrines, people, places, and events in the Book of Mormon.
- Simple content navigation and swiping gestures to navigate between chapters.
- Searchable text.
- Invitations to learn more about the Book of Mormon, chat with missionaries, and worship with LDS congregations.
The Church has created beautiful widgets and banner ads that you can use on blogs or websites to invite people to download the free app. Two examples appear below. (Refresh the page to see the animated graphics.)
The app can be downloaded for free through LDS.org’s Mobile Applications page.

Can you think of a friend you could invite to discover how and why this sacred book has brought millions of people to Jesus Christ?
