After graduating from BYU, Amanda de Lange taught English in China. There she saw a need to help orphans. She began an orphanage program, including "the Starfish orphanage," which focused on the importance of each individual and how, just like the starfish being thrown back into the ocean, "every life matters." She influenced so many people and lived a life of service. She passed away recently, but two of those who knew her best (Amy Christiansen, her visiting teacher, and Eve Boger, a physician and friend) share her story with host W. A. Christensen.
