The residents of Cardston, Alberta — or at least the Mormons there — campaigned hard in the Canadian elections of 1901 for the local option on whether to allow the sale of alcohol within its jurisdiction. This is one of the handbills (they came in several colors) distributed to encourage voters to support that local option.
