Today, FamilySearch launches the Meet My Grandma campaign. The goal is to gather 10,000 grandma stories in 10 days (from today until September 29, 2014).

What are your fondest stories about grandma?

The idea is to share and preserve online or through a mobile app the fond memories or charming stories about your grandmothers. FamilySearch wants you to capture for future generations the stories that make your grandma special.

If you are fortunate to have a grandma still living, you can use a free mobile app (iOS only for now) to audio record your grandmother and save the recordings online. And there are 20 fun questions you can ask your grandma to help write and preserve her personal history in her own words online. The stories are saved to a dynamic online profile dedicated specifically to your grandma, along with any photos and digital artifacts you want to submit.
