aaronic-priesthood-restoration-siteThe Priesthood Restoration historical site near Harmony, Pennsylvania, was rededicated on September 19, 2015. This is where Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery baptized each other in the Susquehanna River on May 15, 1829 under the direction of John the Baptist.

In addition to a visitors’ center, the historical site includes the reconstructed homes of Joseph and Emma Smith and Isaac and Elizabeth Hale. Visitors can walk through the woods where John the Baptist restored the Aaronic Priesthood and visit the baptismal site at the Susquehanna River.
