I’m still casting around for our next missionary journal to serialize. In the meantime, here’s a one-part report of the earliest mission into Mexican territory, conducted in 1876. It is long on frontier and route details, and short on religious and human interest factors, but it gives a great idea of what it took to be a frontier missionary in 1876.
