In Elder Jeffrey R. Holland’s talk at October 2016 general conference, “Emissaries to the Church,” he encouraged the men of the Church to lift their vision of home teaching. He gave an example of “Molly,” a woman whose home teachers came at the perfect time to help her clear up her flooded basement, but instead, they quickly left, deciding she was too busy for their message.
Scott Christopher (of BYUtv’s Granite Flats) recently made a hilarious video, “The (Mistaken) Spirit of Home Teaching,” inspired by the story of “Molly” to illustrate how easily home teachers “look beyond the mark.”
