The video Sarah’s Story (Suicide Prevention) is a story of hope for loved ones.
Famous singer/songwriter Nadia Khristean had always wanted to do a video on suicide prevention. Early this year Nadia met a beautiful teenager, Sarah (name changed) from Murray, Utah, after a high school assembly. Sarah had been personally affected by suicide and was a dancer. That that moment, Nadia knew it was time to create a video on suicide prevention.
In this behind the scenes look at Nadia’s Million Reasons video, Sarah shares the story of what it was like to have her father take his life when she was just 12 years old. Sarah says “suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.” She knows what it is like to be a teenager and feel completely alone. Her message in this video is “you are never alone!” Since losing a father and some friends to suicide, Sarah is determined to join the fight to prevent suicide in her community.
