Sometimes the 19th century Juvenile Instructor published short letters from children (it seems it was mostly tweens who wrote) telling about their lives – school, games, animals, their views of religious events. The letters skew heavily to rural Utah life. Still, they give a glimpse of the lives of Latter-day Saints who are often only present in history through the words of adults.
