In the video “Love in Our Hearts,” Sister Christina B. Franco, second counselor in the Primary General Presidency discusses the importance of embracing our differences and understanding that we all have something unique to contribute in the world and in the Church.

When Sister Franco was young, her father was a watchmaker. She shares a metaphor of the wheels and cogs in a watch to discuss how different pieces can work together to accomplish something important together.

“Each wheel is a part of a whole. Every single piece in a watch works in accordance to the other ones…they all need to work together and to be in balance,” Sister Franco says, “we are like those little pieces…we can work with each other, strengthening each other and helping to keep a perfect balance.”
