The year 2020 will be one of the most exciting in the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It marks 200 years since the First Vision.
- In October 2019, President Russell M. Nelson invited us to prepare for the April 2020 conference that will commemorate the bicentennial of the First Vision.
- In November, we published an article “2020 is Bicentennial of the First Vision” with links to the best resources to help us to learn more about the First Vision and the Restoration.

January Magazines
The January issue of the Ensign and Liahona magazines contains an article by President M. Russell Ballard about “How the Lord Prepared the World for the Restoration.”
The issue also provides a timeline that shows the events leading up to the Restoration and the Second Coming.

The February Ensign has an article “The First Vision: A Pattern for Personal Revelation” where President Henry B. Eyring explains that the Prophet Joseph Smith taught from his experience in the Sacred Grove how we can receive personal revelation as part of our daily lives.
