gc-Apr2021-wordcloud
Since the official English text for the general conference talks was posted yesterday at conference.ChurchofJesusChrist.org and in the Gospel Library app, I have spent time analyzing some of the amazing themes and topics that were covered.

Word Cloud

Above is a word cloud of the text from all the talks. (Click on the image to see a larger version.) The word cloud shows the frequency of use of words (except common words like it, the, and and). The size of each word is based on its frequency. More frequently used words appear larger than those used less frequently.

Word List

I copied the text from each talk at conference.ChurchofJesusChrist.org and copied it into a Word document. I ran that document through a word count program to create a word frequency list.

  • As expected, words such as Christ, Jesus, God, Lord, Church, and faith were spoken very frequently.
  • Other frequently used words reflect themes that were common across several talks: temple, covenants, home, parents, priesthood, hope, Atonement, quorum, Easter, and miracles.
