The Church has released a revised version of its Sacred Music app with new features, improved functions, and a more modern look and feel.
The Sacred Music app is one of the music resources provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for use at church and at home. The app is available in 28 languages and contains over 5,000 songs in English and music content in over 50 non-English languages.
New features include the following:
- Improved searching and filtering (in Android). A topical index helps you search for music on a specific topic. The revamped search function includes a full-text search engine and various options for filtering.
- New functions for creating and managing playlists. These new functions help you compile, manage and share playlists from various albums. You can also download and easily manage music for offline listening.
- User-friendly navigation. Easily switch between various audio options and between views of sheet music and lyrics. Use additional options in Settings to select a language, adjust for dark mode, and choose the font size and style.
- Share and print capabilities for sheet music (in iOS). Resize sheet music or select a PDF version that can be printed or shared through digital tools. This makes it easy for ward and stake choir directors to distribute music for free from the Church Music Library.
Download the free app for Apple iOS or Google Android.
