Due to recent adjustments to age ranges for young single adults and single adults, institute now welcomes members and friends of the Church aged 31-35 to participate, belong, and contribute. Institute offers religious education, gathering places, and community for young adults.

Classes and activities will typically be offered in two age ranges, 18-25 and 26-35.

President Russell M. Nelson recently invited young adults to participate in institute, promising it would help them “learn how to let God prevail,” “stay on the covenant path,” and “feel more joy.”

According to the myInstitute website, they “tailor classes, workshops and other activities to your unique experience and show how the restored gospel can be meaningful and useful in your life.”

President Jeffrey R. Holland affirmed the blessings of institute in a 2021 devotional to young adults. “You don’t exist so institute can become a successful Church program,” he said. “No, it’s the other way around. Institute exists so you can become a successful Latter-day Saint” (“The Institute Journey: To Take or Be Taken?”).
