To honor the restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood and commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Young Men Organization, please join Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and President Steven J. Lund, Young Men General President, by video originating from Harmony, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 2025.
The Aaronic Priesthood was restored to the earth by the visitation of John the Baptist to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery in Harmony, Pennsylvania. Elder Andersen and President Lund will walk the paths of this most remarkable event and of the baptisms of Joseph and Oliver that followed.
Local leaders may choose to gather young men as wards or stakes to participate in this commemorative event. The broadcast will be available for download in the Gospel Library and on Broadcasts.ChurchofJesusChrist.org beginning on July 2, 2025, to help leaders prepare. This event may take place on Sunday, July 13, or at another time determined by local leadership. Please note that the date has been changed from what was previously announced.
The event will begin with a prerecorded video featuring Elder Andersen and President Lund. After the video, local leaders can organize a “reflect and review” exercise, where young men can reflect and write down their thoughts and insights, discuss as a group, and record actions they each will take.
The broadcast will be published in American Sign Language (ASL), Chinese (Mandarin spoken), Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Samoan, Spanish, and Tongan. Closed captioning is available in select languages.
