BYUtv has produced a three-part documentary exploring the impact of faith in higher education. “HIGHERed: The Power of Faith-Inspired Learning” offers an in-depth look into how religious identity plays a transformative role in academia.
The documentary was screened by Elder Clark Gilbert (Commissioner of the Church Educational System) and President Shane Reese (President of BYU) at an event in Washington D.C. hosted by the American Council on Education (ACE) Commission on Faith-based Colleges and Universities, with thought leaders from religious academic institutions.
The three-part documentary highlights the enduring significance of religious identity in academia. It spotlights faith-based universities across the country and tells stories of resilience, purpose, and transformation from the Church Educational System to Notre Dame to Yeshiva University. Through the voices of students, scholars, and spiritual leaders, the documentary explores how a faith-centered approach to higher education not only nurtures intellect but also awakens a sense of divine potential, calling individuals to lead lives of meaningful service within their communities.
The documentary highlights the Church’s dedication to education and its role in building supportive, meaningful communities.
