Everybody knows something true and noble. The only way not to would be to consciously reject everything true and noble. Only devils can do that. None of us are devils here.

President Holland’s talk on belief wonderfully explains how to take what we do know and use it as a bulwark against our surrounding uncertainties and a base for foraying into tthose doubts. I recommended it strongly to my young men.

His model applies to more than testimony. It can work well for blogs entries too. Start with the truths you know.

Here’s what I know: I was happy and inspired watching General Conference. My home was happy and calm that weekend. The Holy Ghost was present quietly. I was sad when it was over.
