Beginning in 2014, a general women’s meeting will be held the Saturday before each general conference in place of a general Relief Society meeting held in the fall and a general Young Women meeting held in the spring.
These twice-a-year meetings will be conducted by the general presidencies of the Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary organizations. All women, young women, and girls age eight years and older will be invited to attend.
The announcement letter from the First Presidency states, “As the women of the Church gather together—sisters, mothers, and daughters—they, their families, and the Church will be strengthened and blessed.”
The first general women’s meeting will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014.
