On the sweetness of Mormon life–

You take the sacrament in the name of Jesus.  The bishop’s second counselor announces that today’s topic is self-reliance.

The first speaker moves slowly to the microphone.  He is hampered by his oxygen bottle for his emphysema.  He is a recent convert.  “Eggs,” he says.  “One thing I can do is keep eggs.”  He tells you how to buy eggs cheap.  He tells you how to store eggs for months.     That is his talk.  You find yourself absorbed.

He ends testifying that Joseph Smith was a prophet.  He testifies that he has found Christ in the Church.
