The LDS Member Guidebook was written by Adrian Escalante to explain the basics of the Church. As a convert to the Church, he saw a need to help members and nonmembers understand and navigate the culture and organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In this new guidebook, he uses simple language that anyone can understand. It serves as a quick reference guide for members of the Church, new converts, or lifelong members, who might not know what a term or an acronym means or who may be unclear about how the Church functions at the local level.
This guidebook explains in simple terms each of the auxiliary organizations of the Church, including priesthood, Relief Society, Primary, Sunday School, Young Men, and Young Women. It also describes the various meetings and activities that you may be asked to attend.
I bought a copy for $6.95 and was pleasantly surprised at how thorough, yet simple the guidebook is.
