The way that can be said is not the true way.

Neal A. Maxwell is a mine.  Every sentence is a sermon.  Still, in one conference talk of his from the April 1975 General Conference, I noticed him teaching that the reality of being a man of Christ is something past words.  Maybe we can’t fully describe it even to ourselves.

 

He knows more than he can tell, but he need not always be fully articulate, for real Christianity is contagious.

In the silence that hovers over the place that once was Sodom, he hears.

There is something you know in silence that you can’t tell me.  Only the Holy Ghost can.
