In August, the Church announced changes for Melchizedek Priesthood and Relief Society meetings beginning in January, 2018. The new Come, Follow Me—For Melchizedek Priesthood and Relief Society resources were published as an 11-page section of the November issue of the Ensign and Liahona magazines and are also online at ComeFollowMe.lds.org and in the Gospel Library app.
Now is the time to begin planning the following:
- First-Sunday Council Meetings: Counseling together about local responsibilities, opportunities, and challenges and making plans to act
- Second- and Third-Sunday Meetings: Studying recent general conference messages chosen by presidency or group leaders or, on occasion, by the bishop or stake president.
- Fourth-Sunday Meetings: Discussing a special topic chosen by the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. For January to June, the monthly discussions are about the Sabbath Day.
- Fifth Sunday meetings: Addressing topics chosen by the bishopric.
