The ticket process for visitors from outside the United States and Canada wishing to attend LDS general conference has changed.

In the past, international visitors could go to the Conference Center Ticket Office to get tickets. From now on, tickets need to be ordered in advance through the person’s stake or district president in their home country. Here are the steps:

  1. A person who wants to attend general conference in Salt Lake in person should talk with their bishop or branch president no sooner than two months prior to general conference.
  2. The bishop or branch president will then ask the stake or district president to send an email request to the ticket office.

The number of tickets and tickets for a specific session cannot be guaranteed.

Guidelines

An individual coming to conference whose membership record resides in a unit outside of the United States and Canada (or non-member friends who wish to attend the conference) is eligible to receive one ticket for a Saturday session and one ticket for a Sunday session. Priesthood holders ages 12 and older are eligible for one ticket for the priesthood session. Women ages 8 and older are eligible for one ticket to the women’s session.

Tickets

Tickets will be emailed to the stake or district president. He can print and distribute the tickets or email the link to print the tickets to the person making the request. A ticket for a session of general conference ensures the ticket holder a seat in the Conference Center until 30 minutes before that session begins. After that time, seats may be made available to those waiting in the standby line. Doors open 90 minutes before the beginning of each session. Children under the age of eight years, including infants, will not be admitted.

Standby Admittance

A standby line for those without tickets begins at the Temple Square north gate and is formed on a first-come, first-served basis. Those seeking standby admittance are asked not to hold places in line for others. Admittance into the Conference Center cannot be assured.

Safety and Security

Security measures have been established at the Conference Center for the safety of conference attendees. No backpacks, packages, food and drink items, weapons, or cameras are permitted.
