LDS scriptures in PDF

The Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price are available online in various formats.

Go to scriptures.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, choose Translations and Formats, and then choose a language. You will then see a list of all the available formats, such as the following:

  • PDF. This text file can be used on virtually any device using any operating system. It shows each page of scripture in the same format as the printed books. The document can be searched and annotated.
  • EPUB. This text file is a popular file format for digital books, compatible with lots of programs and e-readers.
  • MOBI. This text file is a format for e-books and can be used on devices such as the Amazon Kindle and other mobile devices with low bandwidth.
  • MP3. This is a universal audio format. Audio files are available in female and male voices.
  • M4B. This is an MPEG-4 audiobook format that is used by iTunes. Audio files are available in female and male voices.
  • DAISY. This Digital Accessible Information System file is for people who have a disability that makes it difficult for them to read printed text. They can use DAISY software or a device that plays DAISY files to navigate to a chapter or verse of scripture.
  • Kindle. This is an e-book file format that can be downloaded and read on devices like smartphones, tablets, computers, or e-readers that have Amazon’s Kindle app.
  • Audible. This audio file can be played using the Audible app .
  • Braille. This file is used by sight-impaired people to read the document using a braille reader. It uses combinations of braille dots in the same way a plain text file stores and retrieves combinations of print letters and numbers.
