Pioneer Day, July 24th, is a day when members of the Church remember the ancestors who sacrificed to make a better life for their descendants.
Visit the Pioneers in Every Land website, where you’ll find:
- Unforgettable stories from around the world (like the man who joined the Church after driving the prophet in a taxi).
- Pictures of historical artifacts that belonged to early Church members (like Brigham Young’s thimble).
- Women of Conviction to learn about powerful Latter-day Saint women.
You can also go to FamilySearch.org, sign in, then click “Activities,” and then “Where Am I From?” You’ll see a map of the world with information about your ancestors. Learn the story of who you are.
Whether or not your ancestors were early members of the Church, we all benefit from the goodness of previous generations.
