Church and Gospel Questions is a resource to answer questions about Church doctrine, policy, and history. It is included within the larger collection of Topics and Questions in the Gospel Library app and in the Gospel Library on the Church’s website.
This resource does the following:
- Provides faithful responses to commonly asked questions.
- Gives responses in a simple question and answer format and includes links to resources where you can learn more.
- Includes guiding principles to assist those who are seeking answers and those helping others who have questions.
The resource provides insight and clarification about many topics, such as:
- The role of prophets
- The reasons for multiple accounts of the First Vision
- The Church’s position as the only true and living Church
- Origins of the book of Abraham
- Historical transparency
The topics include links to essays and other more comprehensive information to help you continue studying. More topics will be added over time.
Guiding Principles
Within the sections “Seeking Answers to Questions” and “Helping Others with Questions” are 10 guiding principles that are introduced with a new video featuring Elder Dale G. Renlund of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
Topics and Questions
Topics and Questions (formerly known as Gospel Topics) is a resource that provides insights about gospel-related topics. This collection includes more than 200 topic overviews on a wide range of gospel-related subjects.
Gospel study guides are also being added to the topics to help you study in more depth. These study guides can be invaluable in your personal gospel study.
