I’ve been blogging for a while now. Some posts are now irrelevant, some forgettable, some still relevant and some are still incredibly relevant and important.

The following are my best and most crucial postings. I’ll post them in the order of how important I view them:

1. Blog Series on the ChurchofJesusChrist.org Tools and Member Tools

First penned in 2022, I update this series yearly so that it will continue to be accurate. These tools are the most misused and neglected digital tools the Church provides. If used correctly, they could revolutionize things in the Church, especially at the local level.

Instead of reading and following instructions, people are just winging and doing what has been done in the past, especially in the old paper system. It’s corrupting these marvelous tools.

The Church’s instructions found in the Help Center, address the mechanics of the tools only. In my series, I suggest tactics for implementation and best practices and explain things in detail.

This modern curse is becoming an increasing problem. I see evidence of it every week and incidences of it are exploding.

I identified the existing problem but I coined the term, “Spiritual Vaunting” to explain it. Here’s the series:

I first published this in 2010 and updated it about ten years later. It is becoming more relevant. It will not offend you or make you think I’m on the road to apostasy. It’s very carefully done and well worth your time.

The whole world is getting more and more materialistic. I think we accept it because it is so prevalent, even though it violates our values and our beliefs. Be more aware of this insidious practice and overcome it by recognizing all of its manifestations.

This is a single posting but it is about 3,500 words so it is extensive. It’s a subject I feel very strongly about. In fact, I felt so strongly about it that I printed off a copy of it and sent it to the General Relief Society Presidency in Salt Lake City. Yes, I did that.
