The annual RootsTech Family Discovery Day will be on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Family Discovery Day is a free event at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and online at RootsTech.org, making it accessible around the globe. The Discovery Day will feature cultural performances, art exhibits, storytelling, live music, and family history activities for all ages.

Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Kathy, will be the keynote speakers at 1:30 p.m. They will speak about the power of discovery and the blessings of temple and family history work. Following the Andersens, the Piano Guys will perform on the main stage. The Andersens’ address and the music performance will be streamed live and available later for on-demand viewing on ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

Attendees at the Salt Palace can enjoy games, art projects and fun activities for the kids. Dozens of free family history classes are available all day on Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., including special sessions for youth taught by John and Kim Bytheway, Scott and Angelle Andersen, and a special session with T.C. Christensen.
