July 24th is Pioneer Day—a day when members of the Church remember the ancestors who sacrificed to make a better life for their descendants.
Here’s something you could do to celebrate: visit the Pioneers in Every Land website! Here’s a taste of what you’ll find:
- Unforgettable stories from around the world (like the man who joined the Church after driving the prophet in a taxi!)
- Pictures of historical artifacts that belonged to early Church members (Brigham Young’s thimble, anyone?)
- A special section all about powerful Latter-day Saint women (Lucy Mack was just the beginning.)
Whether or not your ancestors were early members of the Church, we all benefit from the goodness of previous generations. Yay for pioneers!
