The Church’s General Handbook continues to be updated periodically. Some of the updates in the latest release are listed below.

  • Chapter 12 (“Primary”) has been updated and reorganized.
  • Additional information about teacher council meetings for parents has been included (see 17.5).
  • Guidelines for confirming converts have been updated (see 18.8).
  • Instructions about weekly missionary coordination meetings have been updated (see 23.4).
  • Information about My Covenant Path and the Covenant Path Progress record has been added (see 23.6.5).
  • Additional guidelines for young service missionaries have been included (see 24.2.2).
  • Updated information about recording Sunday School attendance (see 13.2.2.2).
  • Updated information about teacher council meetings for parents (see 13.5).
  • Clarified policies about overnight activities (see 20.5.5) and long-distance travel (see 20.7.7).
  • Information about providing interpretation for meetings has been added (see 29.9).
  • The minimum requirements to create a new ward or stake have been updated (see 36.1 and 36.2).
  • Information about the stake high priests quorum meeting has been removed from section 6.2.1.1, since the meeting is no longer held.

These revisions have been published in Bislama, Cebuano, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Danish, Dutch, English, Fijian, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Kiribati, Korean, Malagasy, Marshallese, Mongolian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Samoan, Spanish, Swedish, Tagalog, Tongan, and Ukrainian on ChurchofJesusChrist.org and in the Gospel Library app. They will be translated into additional languages in the coming months.
